Saturday's Critters #38

Saturday's Critters #38

Happy weekend and welcome to Saturday's Critters! I am looking forward to seeing lots of your critters this week.

My hummingbirds are still here having their wars over the feeders.. Above is a sweet female Ruby-throated Hummingbird.

The male Ruby-throated Hummingbird with a crazed look in his eye..

My male hummer again, looking a little more normal..

My Goldie Girl actually walked to the lake with us last weekend.. I am amazed how she went 9 months without wanting to step outside except to do her business and come right back in.. I am not sure why all of a sudden she seems more lively? She is close to 11 1/2 years old..  Either way I am glad she feels better.

I hope you enjoyed my birds and critters.. Now its your turn, to share your critters..

Thank you for linking up to the critter party. I appreciate the visits, comments and the support of my blogging friends................... Have a happy weekend!

To see more beautiful birds and cute critters, check out these two memes below.

Please visit:  I'd-Rather-B-Birdin. Thanks to the gracious host: Anni of I'd Rather-B-birdin. Also, sharing with Camera Critters. Thanks to Misty for hosting.

  1. So nice to see the sweet little hummingbirds - the males really are quite aggressive, aren't they? So glad your precious pup is feeling up to taking a walk and a swim. Looks like he enjoyed a nice cool down. xo Karen

  2. I'm so glad your sweet Goldie feels better. She really does look happy and healthy. And I love your hummers. (although that one does look a little deranged ... but still beautiful). Thanks so much for hosting. We are an hour earlier than PNW time here in Alaska -- I was surprised to find the link up (at 8 :45 p.m. our time -- I just visited so I could make the link and be ready for tomorrow morning. This is the first time I've ever been first ever anywhere ;>).

  4. Those little hummingbirds sure are sweet, must be a joy watching them at the feeders. Goldie must have realised what she had been missing out on.

  20. I always love seeing the hummingbirds. All we have are Ruby throated here in New England and I love them to pieces. Your male Ruby Throated looks much different that ours here in the East , ours have no brownish bronze under their throat but have bright red bellies.

  21. I think your male hummer has what is called "attitude" Eileen. Who can blame him for guarding his food source like that. It's good to hear Goldie Girl is feeling better - give her a hug from me.

Thanks for the photo party again and have a lovely weekend.

  22. Opps now see that I have tons of hummingbirds on the farm and you had me being more observant after I read your post lo They don't have bright red bellies it is also just the feather under their throat on the males that is red ~ Thanks for having me look closer lol
