Saturday's Critters #69

Saturday's Critters #69

Happy weekend, everyone!  It's Saturday and it's time to share your critters.. Any kind of critter will do, even a new or old post.. I appreciate everyone who has linked up in the past and for those who are linking in on this week's critter party. And of course I always appreciate my blogging friends stopping by just for a visit.

I have more birds and critters to share from our trip to Florida. Merritt Island NWR and the Canaveral National Seashore are on the Atlantic Ocean side of Florida. This was the first time hubby and I traveled around this part of Florida.  I assume you know by now, the birds and critters are a big part of our vacations.. I hope you enjoy.

We watched the Northern Gannet's diving into the Atlantic Ocean from the Canaveral National Seashore.

I had to really zoom in for this groups of Gannets..

Not the best shot taken thru the car window but this was my first time ever seeing an Armadillo. It was seen walking along the road at the Canaveral National Seashore.

This gator was at the Merritt Island NWR..We spent three nights close to this refuge. I knew it would be a great place to see the birds and critters..

We saw the Brown Pelicans and the White Pelicans at the Merritt Island NWR and the Canaveral National Seashore..I have much more from Merritt Island I will be saving them for another post.. Thanks for stopping by and I always appreciate the nice comments.. I am looking forward to seeing your critters now..HAPPY WEEKEND!

Thanks to Tex Theresa aka Tex, I was able to add this link up button and thanks to  Jennifer for creating my photo badge.

  10. Good Morning Eileen. Thanks for hosting the critter party today.

Well, I never imagined you might see Northern Gannets out of Florida. What ocean wanderers they are, occurring just off our coast here, but often too far out for photos.

I'd love to see an Armadillo like that one of yours.

    Have a great weekend.

  50. Just love the joyful beauty of the soaring bird - imagine how it must feel to be up there, just living free without a care in the world - well, except maybe what your next meal will be!
I love the armadillo! I don't believe I've ever seen one - not even in a zoo! They're cute! Must have been fun just seeing it moseying along!

    ReplyDelete
  51. Glad we don't have Armadillos here ---but they say that they are gradually coming north. They are such a menace---according to my Florida cousin... We don't need more menace critters here. ha ha

    Great pictures.
    Have a great weekend.

  60. And here I thought that Armadillos were only found in the Southwest. I have been to Florida many times and never even knew to look for them. Guess I went to the wrong places. Great shots all around, Eileen. Florida is a wonderful place to go with a camera.

  64. Hi Eileen! Thanks for hosting. Someone on my blog asked if I ran into you since we were on the same island (it wasn't really the same time, but I wish we had!!). I was almost embarrassed to link my post, your pictures are much better. But isn't it a great spot?

    ReplyDelete
  65. I am sorry I didn't link up yesterday, but knew I would not have time to visit people and sort of feel like I am unfair if I link and then don't at least attempt to visit a few people other than the people I normally visit.

I would love to see an armadillo...

  66. Excellent pictures ! I only have seen an Armadillo in the zoo !
