Saturday's Critters #161

Saturday's Critters #161

Happy Saturday, it's time to share your critters and post. Any kind of critter will do, even a new or old post.. I appreciate everyone who is linking in with this week's critter party.

Just an FYI, I accidentally deleted some of my comments on my last post, I meant to delete an anonymous comment. So if I have not visited your post that maybe why. I always try to return visits to everyone who comments on my post. Sorry!

These images are from our visit to the Circle B Bar Reserve on Nov 9th.

The Barred Owl seen as we started our walk.

Anhinga showing off it's pretty feathers.

The Limpkins are another common bird at the Circle B

Great Blue Heron another common bird seen at the Circle B

Red Shouldered Hawk

A Black-crowned Night Heron

One of the many Green Herons we saw during our walk.

Green Herons seem to be plentiful at the Circle B.

Osprey also known as the Fish Eagle.

One of the many gators seen at the Circle B

White Peacock Butterflies are another common sight at the Circle B.

As always thanks for the visits and the nice comments. I also thank everyone who is linking up and sharing their critters.. Happy Saturday, have a great weekend!

Beautiful array of birds in your domain, love them altogether.

Suzanne Prickett said...

There are so many different Herons, all of them unique and pretty. I just love owls, they are fascinating, and some are so cute! You captured a very sweet side of the Red-shouldered Hawk. If we have any in our area, I've not had the pleasure of seeing one. I do, however, pay more attention to birds these days, in hopes of coming across some different ones. Love your photos, have a great weekend. P.S. Love the Fish Eagle! ♥

Thanks for the party! I always enjoying linking. I know sometimes mine don't always fit with the group like today. But if I caption it 'Viewing Nature' it fits! I loved this shot of my grand daughter and their dog when my DIL sent it and I knew it was going to be my post this week!
I hope you have a great party!

My goodness, Eileen, such a wonderful variety of interesting and beautiful critters and your photos are amazing! I would have been thrilled to see the Barred Owl, the Anhinga, the Peacock Butterfly - well, truthfully, every single one of the critters you show here would be thrilling to see, even the "common" ones. Many thanks for hosting!

Someone had a busy day. Thanks for these splendid pictures.

Rose said...

How I love seeing all of these, and wish I was there to photograph them for myself. specially the Green Heron and the osprey!

Kenneth Cole Schneider said...

Very nice photos. I'm partial to Limpkins. Not really much to look at, but their near-specificity to the Florida peninsula and reclusive habits made them, when I was a kid birder in NJ, one of my most sought-after species if I ever got to Florida. So here I am living here and I still feel the excitement when I get to even hear their wailing out in the wetlands.

I have yet to see a live owl... great shot! In fact all the pictures are wonderful! We had what I THINK was a Sharpie visit us yesterday and scare away all the little birds. Your picture of the Red-shouldered made me doubt it, but... definitely not Red-shouldered! Thanks for sharing! Hugs!

Oh my - such loveliness captured!

I could hear an owl during the night, when I was visiting my sister in Jefferson County, Florida. It was warm enough to sleep with the windows open. I could hear a soft "who who who."

They are all so extra ordinary. That barred owl is a bit scary with those closed eyes!
