Welcome to Saturday's Critters!
If you love critters like I do and also like to blog about them and take critter photos this is where you can share your critter post. Link up your post and share your critters, join in with my critter party ! You can share any kind of critters the real ones, pretend ones, statues and paintings, a new or old post!
I am sharing various birds, like the Brown Pelican, Great Egrets, Snowy Egret and a Great Blue Heron seen during our Sunset Beach visit back in November. These were all seen in a little park called Sunset Beach Park, it had a little trail and some fishing piers we could walk out on.
Brown Pelican resting on a dock. Snooze time, it was a chilly morning too.
A Snowy Egret on the hunt for food.
Three's a crowd, Great Egrets.
The Great Egrets and a Great Blue Heron.
I always enjoy seeing the egrets and herons.
I hope you enjoyed my post and photos.

Such a chubby pelican!!!! He's hunkered down!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy seeing the Herons but I don't think I have ever seen a Egret
ReplyDeleteMB
Oh, that first bird has so much character!
ReplyDeleteThe little Brown Pelican is my pick for today, fluffy, soft, almost cuddly, and pensive as he contemplates his day.
ReplyDeleteThank you Eileen for sharing the heron and egrets - they are always my favorite.

...lovely water birds!
ReplyDeleteLoved to see the Brown Pelican. It does look a bit chilly.
ReplyDeleteSeeing the egrets in a distance is a little like seeing the swans. The difference is the lenght of the necks and the swans are heavier :)
I was at the lake yesterday in bad weather. There are still lots of greylag geese and swans on the lake. But too far out where there are still open water.
Strange about the geeze. They should not be here now. They should be in the south and come back in march. If this continoue they will be here att year round. I just don´t know where they feed :(
Hello Eileen,
ReplyDeleteNice series of photos, I really like the Egret.
Best regards, Irma
love that Pelican Eileen Thanks for hosting and have a wonderful weekend.

Happy Saturday!
What beautiful critters these are! I'm fascinated with that brown pelican. It's quite a beauty.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this week's hosting again. Have a great weekend!
Love that pelican! I think it could illustrate the cover of a child's book--First line: "There once was a pelican named "Puffy..."
ReplyDeleteOh, I just love coming across a heron in a little pond around here when driving on the back roads. I regrets there are not egrets though. LOL
ReplyDeleteWhen I see shots like this it always makes me wish I lived nearer to the coast.
ReplyDeleteHello Eileen! These are wonderful especially the brown pelican snoozing but the Great egrets are amazing to see!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for hosting!
Enjoy your weekend!

Hi Eileen, what an amazing picture of the Brown Pelican. Thanks for hosting this meme. Have a great weekend. Jo
ReplyDeleteHello, Beautiful pic of pelican.
ReplyDeleteNice post. Greetings.
Hello Eileen. And thank you so much for hosting this link-up again. Oh that Pelican! Such a fabulous bird but one that I can see only if I visit the zoo or travel a long distance east or west. Guess I'll have to wait a while. At least I can see some egrets.

ReplyDeleteHerons are such elegant critters. Pelicans, not so much, but I do love their character! Happy weekend to you Eileen. YAM xx
Love seeing all these bird critters. We have seen four deer crossing through our yard. We have seen evidence of them at our bird feeders, but haven’t seen them there. I haven’t been able to get a decent picture of the deer because it is getting dark or dark, when we see them.
ReplyDeleteWow! I'm pretty sure we don't see pelicans up here - thanks! Have a nice weekend!
ReplyDeleteNo shortage of egrets there. The pelican looks comedic! Beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteThe pelican wins hands down today. Happy Day.
